MetroLite, other urban rail proposals and integrated mobility can open new markets, when the technology matches demand, geography and funding.
Smaller cities and lower-demand corridors need an appraisal of capacity, capital cost, operating cost and passenger access. The conference will examine where lighter systems can be viable, how modes are selected and what it takes to move from a concept to an investible project.

Warangal appears under Metro Neo in the project directory; it should be evaluated separately from MetroLite.
Kolkata's underwater metro opening in 2024 and Kochi's Water Metro launch in April 2023 demonstrate different responses to urban geography. Their relevance is practical: engineering, terminals and interchanges must work together as a passenger network.
